Earth Day is not all about marches, activism, or a call to action. The core principle of Earth Day is to protect the environment. Earth Day was born on April 22, 1970, in San Francisco, CA. Senator Gaylord Nelson is the Father of Earth Day. His efforts continued till his death in 2005.
